Ko&Ko Norway began its journey in 2011 and is based in Fosnavåg, outside Ålesund. This is where ideas and designs are created. All goods, mostly dresses, are packed and shipped from here. Behind it all is Stine. She has always worn dresses because they are comfortable and practical. And best of all, she believes dresses make everyday life a celebration. Our goal is to develop an exciting and unique dress concept. We design dresses that bring joy through fit, quality, and expression. We want to inspire more people to wear dresses through our timeless designs. Getting those who don't usually wear dresses to discover their comfort is one of the most enjoyable things we know. Discovering how easy it is to be elegant and practical at the same time. You don't have to put together multiple garments, and everything is in one piece. With us, you'll find dresses in all styles, and you don't have to be a fashionista to wear a dress. In fact, our best-selling dress is a sporty version worn by active women in their daily lives.

Our products must be of high quality. They should be sustainable and functional, and so comfortable to wear that you prefer a dress over anything else. We are more concerned with design than with trends, because the dresses should be used over time. This is a simple way to be sustainable. For us, it's about designing dresses that last.

How did it all start?

Stine has drawn doodles and flowers all her life and trained as a floral decorator at Vea. She married Øyvind, a chef and aesthete. Both are passionate about Norwegian design and good craftsmanship, and both have experienced that hard work yields results. In 2009, they each left their respective companies to fully commit to Ko&Ko AS with the design and production of dresses. It was completely Ko&Ko (crazy) to think that one could make a living designing and selling dresses in Norway. But the first Ko&Ko dress was sold in Fosnavåg in October 2011. Passing 100,000 dresses sold was a milestone, and today the number is much higher. Daily operations take place in the Ko&Ko building in Fosnavåg.

All dresses are produced in Poland and Lithuania by manufacturers we trust and have gotten to know well. We have mutual respect and wish each other well. Ko&Ko Norway does not have a physical store, but sells its dresses through the online store www.kokonorway.com and via retailers. Today we sell dresses worldwide. Anything is possible between fjord and mountain in Fosnavåg in Sunnmøre. We have had an exciting development since 2011, and in 2019 Ko&Ko AS became a Gazelle company. The Gazelle award is Dagens Næringsliv's annual distinction for Norway's fastest-growing companies.
