There are few places that capture the feeling of a long bright spring as well as the South of France. It was precisely there that Ko&Ko headed this spring to photograph three brand new collections along the Côte d'Azur. Each location was chosen to give the garments exactly the setting they deserve. The result was a week filled with calm mornings, sun, salty air, and clothes that suit the places where they were photographed.
The starting point was a villa in Grasse, a small town up in Provence known as the world’s perfume capital. Palm trees in the garden, bright rooms, and a quietness found only a little inland from the coast made the villa a natural home throughout the trip. The days began calmly, and the first day in front of the camera was spent right here. Relaxed, close, and effortless. Exactly the feeling Ko&Ko wants the clothes to give: something you can live in, not just wear.
From there, the journey continued. The cobblestone streets of the old town in Grasse and the glamour of Cannes. The wide Promenade des Anglais in Nice with palm trees on one side and the turquoise Mediterranean on the other. Days along the cliffs and the open sea, a trip to Monaco with yachts and sun-bleached marble, and finally a quiet tennis court surrounded by Provençal nature. Each location had its own atmosphere, and that was the whole point. The Riviera is not one expression, but many. Relaxed and natural one moment, playful and full of color the next.
Three collections, three moods
The tour was about three collections, each telling its own story.
The pattern collection is the playful one. Polka dots and zebra meet in an expression full of personality. Garments for the days you want to stand out a little and wear it with confidence.
The linen collection is the calm counterbalance. Natural, airy, and relaxed. Made for warm days and bright evenings. It’s the fabric that breathes with you and only gets better the more you wear it.
French Terry is the energetic one. Colorful, soft, and full of life. A collection that matches the pace along the coast and reminds you that comfort and style can go hand in hand.
Three different expressions, but with a common thread: clothes that feel as good as they look.
